McCarthy's commenced on-site for enabling works to construct a Bat Roost and pipe bridge over the river Clydach for access.
Since the enabling works begun McCarthy's have been involved in the surface water management constructing various cascades and headwalls.
The site is extremely challenging due to the steep nature and on-line construction of the widening scheme. On the back of McCarthy's performance Costain were pleased to award the M4 J28 Improvement Scheme.
McCarthy's have a longstanding relationship with Costain and have been employed on the Heads of the Valley 2 scheme.
