This scheme was located at Maes y Bedw Culvert in Bedlinog, approximately 4 miles south east of Merthyr Tydfil town centre. The length of channel concerned was approximately 105m long, starting at the outlet of the railway culvert and ending at the inlet of Maes y Bedw culvert.
The work involved widening the existing culvert intake structure, clearance of the existing channel from the railway culvert at the top of the slope down to the intake structure, and the installation of a blockstone channel along this stretch, with a simple crossing to accommodate the right of way that exists there.
