Trecco Bay

After Winter storms in 2014 McCarthy's were employed as Principal Contractors by Parkdean Leisure to repair the damaged sea defences at Trecco Bay. This was followed by planned maintenance works to the defences which were competitively tendered and successfully completed later in 2014 and again both in 2015 & 2016. The works included the temporary diversion of the coastal path, construction of armour stone revetments and replacement of the excavated beach material all carried out during the off-season of the caravan park.

McCarthy's were employed due to their proven track record in similar works and their ability to construct the works in a fast and efficient manner in the time critical project.

McCarthys have been repeatedly contracted to undertake emergency and planned sea defence works at Trecco Bay.
